This is a fabulous example of Fender's pre-Custom Shop's guitars filled w/some great ideas. The Strat Elite's were only produced in '83 & '84, this is made w/stunning American Black Walnut for its body & neck, it's the only Fenders having a factory ebony fingerboard at that time, its gold hardware looks stunning covering its heavy duty tremolo unit & its pearloid button'd tuners. Killer playing guitar w/easy playing low action. Unique to Elites are 3 Alnico 5 single coil pickups w/an internal dummy coil for hum cancellation. It also has three push buttons for pickup selection. The controls include a master volume, a TBX treble/bass expander & an active MDX midrange booster with 12 db of gain. This is 100% original, truly near mint & comes in its original Brown Deluxe molded hard case.
